Pick one live situation, run Focus, Story, and Action, then make one more intentional next move.

Start here

Do not overthink it. Pick one situation, check your current Focus, Story, and Action, then correct the one that most needs to change.

  1. Name the moment — What situation are you in right now?
  2. Check the loop — What is your current Focus, Story, and Action?
  3. Correct one move — What should change first so you lead this moment better?

The core move is simple: Check, then Correct.

When to reflect

Foresight

Before the moment

Use it to set intention, priorities, and presence before a situation arrives.

Insight

In the moment

Use the Pause Button when emotion rises or stakes go up.

Hindsight

After the moment

Review what happened and improve the next round.

What to reflect on

Focus

Bet 1

What am I paying attention to right now — the noise, the threat, the opportunity, or what actually matters?

Story

Bet 2

What meaning am I assigning to this? Is my story distorted, emotional, or grounded and fair?

Action

Bet 3

What am I about to do next? Is it a reflex, or an intentional move I will be glad I made?

How to do it

Reflection gets simple when you use one loop across all three bets.

Check

  • What am I focused on?
  • What story am I running?
  • What action am I about to take?

Correct

  • What should my focus be instead?
  • What is a more accurate and useful story?
  • What is the most intentional next action?

How to use it today

  • Morning: Pick the one or two things that deserve your best focus today.
  • Midday: Hit Pause in one pressured moment and run Check and Correct once.
  • Evening: Review one interaction and ask what you would repeat or revise tomorrow.
